Mark

Mark is the CEO of Hatch and a seasoned product development leader with over 40 years of experience bringing innovative products to market across a wide range of industries, including consumer, medical, defense, public safety, automotive, and aerospace. As the co-founder of Product Development Technologies (PDT), he led the company through decades of growth, overseeing the successful development of thousands of products and earning recognition on the Inc. 500 list twice. After PDT’s acquisition by Astronics, Mark shifted his focus and later helped launch Hatch to continue building world-class product development and contract manufacturing capabilities.

A recognized expert in turnkey product development, Mark is known for his ability to guide projects from concept through commercialization. He regularly advises startups, serves on multiple boards, and brings hands-on experience with crowdfunding, angel investment, and institutional fundraising. A former Motorola engineer, Mark is deeply connected within the product development ecosystem, from subject matter experts to global suppliers. He is a member of the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame and continues to champion innovation through leadership, mentorship, and execution at Hatch.

Mark is advisor and board member to several companies.  Employee owned companies are a keen interest and where we’d like to see Hatch grow too.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys snowboarding and boating with his family. He’s also an avid hockey player, competing in a local men’s league and playing on the lake behind his house during winter, complete with his home-made Zamboni.
