Job Summary:
As a Production Technician at Hatch Product Development, you will be a key part of our manufacturing operations; from troubleshooting assembly issues, to helping investigate new projects hitting the factory floor, to finding solutions to problems before they even happen. You'll work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams to provide crucial support and quickly resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Troubleshooting & Analysis: Serve as the first line of technical support on the production floor, testing and debugging complex designs and final assemblies to diagnose and correct root causes of failures, assisting the manufacturing team with production root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Equipment Management: Utilize and maintain manufacturing engineering lab equipment, test equipment, and tools to ensure all resources are running smoothly.
- Optimize Production: Find ways to increase production efficiencies whether it’s through designing fFixtures/jJigs or better assembly processes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Meticulously document test results, production issues, and rework performed. Use software like Excel and/PowerP point. (Prior experience with Epicor is a plus.)
- Test Development and Execution: You'll actively participate in the design, development, and execution of tests, meticulously documenting the results for analysis for both production and engineering
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Function as an active member of cross-functional teams, taking direction from multiple team members (Engineering, QA, Production) and effectively navigating multiple production projects concurrently.
- Bonus:
- Extensive running and maintaining 3D printing experience.
- Single cell automation (cobot or multi axis pick and place machines)
- PCBA Troubleshooting, Rework, and Soldering
Qualifications:
- 3-10 Years Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in a contract manufacturing or similar production environment.
- Associate's degree preferred
- Proficiency in reviewing and troubleshooting production mechanical/electrical issues.
- Knowledge of test development and documentation.
